The Spime and the Internet Broadcast System are home to the works of Brian Soria.
(and I’m Brian Soria, that’s who)

Hey howdy, my name is Brian Soria. I’m an Austin-born creative, author/illustrator of Spook Troops, creator of Drawlloween.

When I'm not updating the Spime or podcastin’ with 1031SPKY.com, I like to drink coffee, sketch things, and travel the world.

Professional Work

I’m currently a freelance graphic designer (Contact me for inquiries!). Doing contract logo, illustration, web and social media work has been my living since I was laid off from Meals on Wheels Central Texas in 2025.

Couch Potatoes

Prior to that, I’ve had over 10 years time as a creative professional: From 2017 to 2022 I was the Marketing Director (and entire creative department) for Austin's Couch Potatoes furniture. In my time there I rebranded the company, which included re-designing logos, icons, colors and typefaces and helping develop the new website launch after migrating it to Shopify. Part of the company's refresh included doin’ nifty things like creating unique branding & writing the copy for a dozen product lines, keeping that consistent voice in any place a customer may interact with us. Being the only person on the creative team, I worked on it all from scratch: content generation for social media, maintaining style when taking product photography, and through print materials like schematics, promotional swag, up to large format banners.

Callaway Golf & House of Torment

For 5 years prior to that, I spent time as Email Marketing Manager and Interactive Designer for the globally-known Callaway Golf and their affiliated brands. That time overlapped with my decade of working as an artist and designer for the nationally acclaimed House of Torment Haunted houses. In that time I was part of the creative team responsible for developing story, sets, prop, and costumes.

Contributors & content makers

A lot of the content here is made in conjunction and with help from my talented friends, and I’m glad to be able to bring them together to help create new experiences. From broadcasting in an old dungeon, to fighting wizards and navigating the stars, I’m proud to include work made possible with:
